HOURS: 30-40 hours, 100% travel
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Hourly, Non-Exempt; Seasonal (6 month contract, opportunity for additional 6 month renewal TBD 45 days prior to end date)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Seasonal Logistics Lead position will play a large part in ensuring that product and set up are ready for Hunger Projects nationwide. This person will travel across the United States and perform the ins-and-outs of event logistics, load-in, load-out, safety/sanitation and meal distribution. All travel and expenses are covered by the organization.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Traveling to and leading Hunger Projects both Domestic and International
Coordinating event setup and breakdown

Ability to operate as an Event Lead as necessary
Emceeing and controlling event flow
Loading and unloading trucks and shipments at events
Controlling volunteer production to meet overall meal goal
Ensuring overall sanitation and safety at events
Managing Events Team and groups of volunteers
Representing Feeding Children Everywhere and connecting with clients and feeding partners providing excellent customer service
Managing event power and electrical components
Ensuring pickup/delivery of packaged food to feeding partners
Occasionally driving project materials to event sites

Assisting with warehouse activities as needed
Operating a forklift and pallet jack
Preparing outbound shipments
Loading and unloading box trucks and semi-trucks
Driving a box truck for event or meal distribution deliveries
Securing leads and potential donors for development purposes
Reporting on effectiveness of each Hunger Project
Minimum Requirements
YOU LIGHT UP A ROOM: Enthusiastic, excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
YOU’VE GOT THE EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years working in logistics or events
YOU EAT YOUR WHEATIES: Ability to lift 60+ pounds comfortably and on a normal basis
YOU LOVE TO TRAVEL: Available to travel in and out of state up to 100%
